Tonight my little girl got in trouble. She lied about something menial. So I had the character talk with her. Tried to help her see the “above reproach” way of life is just better. She had tears, she felt guilty. 

As God’s people we have to learn how to live and walk in the light. Even more so for pastors. They (you know the experts-whoever they are) say that church is like it’s lead pastor. You can deny that; it is what it is. 

That is a big statement. Pastors can take their calling lightly. We can become like my daughter and begin to live in a way that is unworthy of the calling on our lives. Usually the downward spiral starts small. But if we don’t repent and seek help and accountability those small sins begin to creep deeper into our spirit and our churches.
