It’s easy to get up every morning and just “do” life. We all got things to do, rhythms to maintain and aspirations to accomplish. I fear we try to do way-to-much with our own might-not with the Spirits power. I also fear that we’ve lost the wonder to have high expectations of our day, we just run wild, we no sense of mission.

“Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.” Joshua 3:5

I read that passage above this morning. Obviously I”m proof-texting here, and no I don’t encourage you to jump in Lake Austin in hopes that the Lord will part the waters-that would be cold! But I think it says something important, we are God’s people on a mission. God gives us a certain amount a time, time to love and serve, time to be Jesus to our generation. Each day we can see wonders of love, mercy and sacrifice. We just have to expect to see them, we have to slow-down and sense the Spirit leading us. 

Everyday we can choose to leave Jesus behind, and walk in the flesh…Or we can ask Jesus to lead us and we can walk in the Spirit, and maybe we will see small and large “wonders” of God’s moving in our daily lives!
