The thought of pilgrimage is very motivating for Necole and I. We’re adventurous at heart and whenever we feel confined we basically go nuts. We love having a day to day rhythm…We love to be involved in community. We’ve desperately wanted to call a place home.
But we also know we’re pilgrims…journeying in life. We try to be focused on the present, but our thoughts constantly wonder into the future.
So much to do…so many places to see…so many in need. Who cares about a house, nice schools or the so-called “American dream.” Most people who pursue all that stuff seem empty, depressed and stressed-including us. God has a plan..By His grace he asks us to partner with him to do good, love mercy and walk with him in community with others…It’s the Jesus way…Selfless, pure, on-mission…Jesus, you, me and the journey!
Life is short…there is to much to do, new people to meet, new opportunities to explore, new lands to discover. How do we live our next 20 years or so…? Like pilgrims on a journey…learning to be missional, loving God, loving others and enjoying life on the way!

My wife and I have made the same statement you did: "Who cares about a house, nice schools or the so-called “American dream.” I really am tired of Christians who attach themselves to this false notion of security. C.T. Studd said it best, "If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him."
The question is: 'Am I willing to make that sacrifice to follow Him?'
Thanks for being real, passionate and open to wherever God is going to lead you. Keep up the Christ-centered focus and content.
Soli Deo Gloria!
