Things are coming along nicely for the Marlow’s. Here here’s a list:
We rented a house in the Historic Oakwood Neighborhood. Our house is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 950 SQ FT home 1 mile from downtown. We live in a unique area mixed with all types of races and socio- economic families. We also live two doors down from The Cummings, who lead Lemonade International, we’re also close to Gore & Ramsey, who lead Visio Dei Church.

The rent is month-to-month and inexpensive, which fits our budget. Also, we will be able to use one car for the time being as Necole and I will be able to walk or bus to work and the girls school is less than one mile. We’re really looking forward to living in-the-city and being “present” in our community. We hope to serve and love the city as we live, work and play in-the-city!
This morning I wrapped-up all the paperwork for the girls new school Conn Elementary. Below is a quick description of Conn:
Technology Magnet Program is designed to teach students to be productive members in an everchanging society. Today’s world is a dynamic, high-speed, high-tech society where information available to students is multiplying at an exponential rate. To prepare our children for the future, they must experience active learning which focuses on information skills: gathering, analyzing and communicating information.
Conn’s magnet program prepares our children by providing active learning opportunities every day. Through active learning modules the students work on in-depth projects requiring the use of technology, research, analytical and communication skills. We build on the projects by bringing in guest speakers and taking excursions to community organizations.
The girls will also be involved in dance, art, music and drama as they attend the school, for free, which is right-up-my-ally! I LOVE free
Necole is taking her class today for her cosmetology license and should be working in the next two weeks if all goes well.
Can you believe summer is almost over? I can’t wait for the girls to get back into school, it will be nice for them to get active and engage again, Necole and I will also enjoy having some time back to get things going in hair and for HELP.
This weekend we are heading to beach for a quick last second summer excursion, can’t wait for that! Next week is back to a strict rhythm of work and school.

We are right down the street in Longview off of Raleigh Blvd. + Milburnie. Good to have some new familiar neighbors.
