I’m writing this from Houston Hobby as I wait for a delayed fight on Southwest to Austin. (boo) Usually, I tend to blog, read and strategize while traveling these days! This helps me implement and focus while in Austin.
I just spent 11 days in the Northeast, and here’s what I did:
- Spent time in Wilmington, DE and had some great Sushi.
- Spent an evening on the beaches of Delaware.
- Spent an evening in Annapolis, Marlyand. (awesome)
- Spent a morning in Princeton, NJ and strolled the campus. (which was amazing)
- Hung in NYC, connected with friends, ate lunch at Shack Stack and strolled through Central Park, walked the Highline and enjoyed some Stumptown Coffee.
- Drove the countryside of Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware.
- Hung out with friends at coffee shops, pubs and parks and reconnected.
- Ate lunch in Chinatown – Philly with new friends.
- Spoke at two churches (Chinese Christian Church & Eastpoint)
- Enjoyed seeing kids get sponsored, and churches catch the vision to serve the global poor.
- Talked about future partnerships with HELP.
- Talked about future staff opportunities with HELP. (this is gonna be big)
- Spent time with Tom, LT and Todd. (awesome families with HUGE hearts)
- Connected with Tom Ward Sr, and discussed future partnerships to serve orphans in Zimbabwe, and Zambia.
I missed my family, I missed my rhythm, and missed Austin. But, I LOVE what I get to do. Next trip: LA and the Ideation Conference. Can’t wait to connect with a ton of folks!
