Today I’m get to watch my kids. I do not like working, while I watch my kids…I get a bit to intense for them, so I don’t like the culture that is created. So, instead of trying to get a bunch of stuff done, I’m gonna switch gears and focus on the spiritual side of life. Spend time reading, praying,
thinking, etc! I’ll probably watch a message online, spend more time reading and try to enjoy these summer moments…they go quickly, and you only have so many!

So I’m trying to spend quality time with them before I head to the Middle-East.

Yesterday one of our friends from Necole’s work was on babysitting duty. She asked my girls want they wanted to do and they responded with the children’s museum and cafe downtown (Halcyon)-not what she was expecting.

Today J Cofield took them to the park. Then they went to a nursing home. Bailey was able to play the guitar for the seniors and she loved it. Of course after that they went to the park for a lunch.

Tonight we headed downtown to hang with the S & T Wade. We found a very cool dog-park off of 6th St which was rad. Then we got our grub-on at Galaxy Cafe. Good food and vibe. After we headed to Whole Foods and ate gelato on the roof-which includes a nice playground.

As a father I wish I could slow down time, but I can’t. So I try to do my best to create memorable moments.

I set some educational goals and every time she met the goal she was rewarded. Well she made every goal every week. Therefore she had close to $100 in the pig.

I told her that she could help a family in need. We researched Kiva and I helped educate her in the reality of world poverty. She was moved to action and she gave $25 to a local African entrepreneur. Last week that loan was paid-in-full. Now we get to do another loan.

It’s a small way to help shape our kids to be generous and to really practically help someone who is motivated and has dreams but they need some initial help.
