- Planting one church at a time is NOT enough. It’s a drop in the ocean.
- Must create a model of church that is reproducible. (no building, professional clergy)
- Can we start a church planting movement? No…movement can’t be controlled. They are works of God

The Model of mission is supernatural.
- All movements start with prayer.
- Prayer is our primary missional activity.
- Prayer needs to be an instinctive response to an opportunity or problem.
- Our role is to find people who are open to the gospel. And spend less time on people who are not.
- We must engage in spiritual warfare.
- Everyday reliance on God.
- We need to put God’s reputation on the line.
- Total Church was meeting 3 days of week for prayer.

The Model Of Living is Martyrdom

- We need a model of discipleship that begins with martyrdom.
- We need to move from incremental discipleship to “think about what happens when you become a Christians you might die discipleship.” 
- Martyrdom is a lifestyle-must take up the cross and carry it. It’s a call to die. Must be cross-centered.
- Must give people a vision for the resurrection of Christ.

The Model Of Church is Reproducible.

- Everyone should be able to do it.
- We should not complain if people don’t start churches if they are not able. (not everyone can speak well, raise lots of money etc)
- Must incorporate new converts rapidly.
- We need a more apostolic approach to leadership.

-Early church writings are stunningly different then modern churches.
-Hope needs to be obvious and tangible. 
- Christian community is an intentionally missional affair.
- one-another is mentioned 90 times in NT.
- If you don’t live in community with others, you’re not fulfilling or living the Jesus way.
- Jesus washed His disciples feet-this was a huge moment in humility. Jesus became the LOW of The LOW.
- How are we doing with “one-anothering?”
- The world wants to see us as a different spieces. Radically different community-aliens.
- We can’t accept a lower-standard of church.
-This has to be derived from the Gospel, we can “one-another” each other (love, serving, caring,) because God has did that through Jesus to us already.
- All ministry is pushed through missional communities. (At Kaleo)
- The community must speak the gospel to one-another.
- We have to teach our community to live out the gospel.
- Missional Community leaders need to lead the group in repentance. They go over Sunday message and share how they need to repent. Then the community repents, they pray for one-another and then they ask how can they live this out in the community.
- If the modern Church experiences God-Like Acts 2 you can’t keep people from one-another. They will want to be together, love each other, giving to each other, serving each other.
-If pastors don’t like their people they need to repent and stop complaining.
- Pastors who need time-away from the church usually created a church they don’t like or would not attend.
- Kaleo has lost 1/3 of their people from the switch from attractonal to missional.
- A lot of people want to “go” to church but they don’t want to “be’ the church.
- Give people grace to work-out the “new” way of doing church. It takes time and space.
- The people that left the church where not in community and had a sort of “Sunday fix.” They wanted to be fed as opposed to self-feeding.
- Because of the missional communities, more people want to gather on Sunday and more people want to do outreach.

Session 2: A Gospel-centered Community

- What is a church that is not a gospel community?
- When we use the word “church.” We are most likely miscommunicating. We’ve lost the battle for the word church.

Creating A Gospel Culture:

- Jesus was the ultimate outsider. As was Paul.
- Justification is not to just save you, but to change how you live.
- Gospel saves us and sanctifies us and glorifies us. The Gospel is a daily walk.
- Justification by faith is forensic. Sinners are in Adam rather then in Christ. We move from Adam to Christ.
- Church is a new world order. It’s a piece of eternity brought into earth.
- A Gospel Community is an alternative life system, made of a different kind of people.
- Miracles are insights into heaven.
- We have to incorporate the gospel into all of our areas of life.
- The gospel gives us a new set of eyes.
-The Gospel is not left or right. We fight for proper marriage and we also fight for gays right (to be treated with respect) we fight for the poor to be treated well and for the baby to be saved.
- The gospel can reshape how we see capitalism, politics, relationships etc.
- People will know the gospel of Jesus by how Christians live their lives together in community.
- Everything (money, job, family) fits into the gospel.
- We have to redefine leadership. Its not about charisma or being dynamic but character and godliness.
- In the NT there was never a shortage for leadership.

What is the Gospel:

- Gospel Is “The Word of Truth.”
- The Gospel “bears-fruit.” It works.
- We don’t need a bunch of “new” strategies. We need the conviction that the Gospel is “God’s Word that works.”
- Fruit of Belief and Dis-belief.
- We should not be afraid to pointing out the benefits of the Gospel.
- We can make Jesus to be anything-But Jesus Christ is The Son of God.
- The Gospel is the eminent arrival of the Kingdom because of the arrival of the King. So the appropriate response to that arrival is repentance.
- Evangelicals have a problem with understanding the gospel. In The West we think Gospel as Individual which is truth-but there is more than that. In The Bible is says the Gospel is about a people, a community.
-The ultimate purpose of God is an exalted Christ with HIS people. Christ without his people is incomplete.

What is the Church

- Most assume church as an event or a meeting.
- We know what we believe by how we behave. Core belief is reveled by how we belief
- For most people church is an event. We spend so much man-power and money on one weekly event.
- The meeting is a part but only a small part of the weekly gospel rhythms.
- We should be in a steady state of meeting with the King and with each other-eating together, celebrating together, praying together, weeping together as a people living together as the people of God.
- The community of God tells the people that how they live IS THE FUTURE-its a foretaste of the future.
- Tim is not anti gathering. Just must balance it. We need a more-complete Gospel.
- God’s call in the OT is to live life together, to care for those in need, to celebrate at the festivals. God wanted to be near His people. God was concerned about how the is coveted community lives together.
-If we live by meeting to meeting then we fail to live as Christ called us.
- The world can’t dis-miss a community of believers who live distinct lives across the globe.
- We must have a missional identity in our communities ( politics, associations,
- Mission is that which is inform and defines our lives. It shapes our action.
- The Local church is phenomenon of grace.
- The Church is to be God’s temple filled with God’s glorious presence spread throughout the earth.

Q&A

- Professional view of pastors leadership is ungodly and needs to be repentant off. Pastors serve the people.
- We have to allow our lives to be lived amongst each other.

Some thoughts:
