• Sent out the first-round of support letters on Friday. This is really big for us, we have lots of vision and passion, but we literally have no cash-flow. 
• HELP is throwing a launch party at the end of the month. We also are in the works of planning some more parties in Seattle, Sac-town and Raleigh and a host of other cities. 
• We are now looking for churches to support and believe in our vision. Easier said then done, churches are stretched.
• We are also partnering with another organization for an upcoming Human Trafficking Awareness Day here in Austin. 
• I’m planning on going to this on Thursday. If you’re in Austin, you gotta go! 
• My daughter gets honors in school and NO I’m not going to put a bumper sticker on the Element. 
• Rumor has it, it could rain tomorrow in Austin. That would be amazing. 
• My Lakers had an amazing road trip. So distressed about Andrew Bynum. 
• I need to speak soon, it’s been awhile. 
• My wife’s business has been down recently. Economy is depressing. Yet, I truly believe that God is doing something that will be good for our country. It’s called simplicity. We need to embrace that. 
• We all claim to be busy, but most of our “busyness” is our own-self-doing.
• Hung out with some friends last night at a “Love Stinks” party. Fun to hang out and reconnect with some folks I have not seen in awhile. 
• Still have no church rhythm. Need to embrace something…Not sure what. 
• Pretty mellow weekend. Lot’s of school work and future-planning.

• Went to Austin Stone today for the first time. Not used to going to a mega-church and I have mixed feelings. But I love Austin Stone-such a great church.
• Yesterday Scotty Wade of Studio 914 took some family pics. They look very cool. Scotty is super talented and I’m glad he is working with HELP. After the shoot me grubbed at Magnolia Cafe. Yum yum. Pics to come soon.
• I have insomnia I guess. I wake-up 5-6 times at night. I need to do something about this.
• Last few weeks have been unproductive…I need to do something about that too.
• Looking forward to a new year…Lot’s of dreams…But I’m thinking small and not big.
• Miss Africa…I’m ready to return.
• Why does college football last so long…Reminds me of the NBA playoffs.
• Not sure if I can attend church at not speak. I thought  I would enjoy the “no responsibilities Sunday’s.” I don’t.
• I’ve watched a few movies lately: Marley & Me was decent, Traitor was great , 7 pounds was awesome and What Happens in Vegas was HORRIBLE.
• Hoping Texas wins tomorrow and Oklahoma loses Thursday.
• Not sure if we’ll be living in Austin much longer. That makes me really sad.
• It was 83 yesterday and today it’s 38…Winter in Austin means you get all four seasons every seven days. I can see Jeff Ramsey laughing at me now.
• I really need to start fundraising for HELP. It takes money to run and organization.
• I really want to learn photography. I have so many talented friends, they inspire me.
• I hope the Panthers win the Super Bowl.
• Glad the Lakers beat the Celtics. Much bigger win for us then them. We needed it.
• Let me reiterate. I’m thinking small for 2009 and HELP. That is a discipline for visionaries. It takes time to create a great organization.
• Thinking small is not easy. This year is going to require a lot of faith, sacrifice and work.
• I’m starting to look for partner churches to support HELP.
• Going back to school..Sigh!

• Yesterday we met John & his daughter at Alamo and watched Madagascar 2. Good flick and fun times.
• MY tickets are booked for Raleigh. I will be there late Dec 3rd and fly out mid-day Dec 7th. Can’t wait to see everyone. I feel like I’m going home and seeing family.
• While in Raleigh I will be hanging out with Tyler Jones of Vintage 21 and sharing my passion for HELP. Hoping Tyler become a board member and helps us raise MILLIONS for global poverty.
• Of course I can’t wait to see my friends from Visio Dei. Jeff Ramsey and Jason Gore and the Gore babies. Praying Aidan will be home when I arrive-pray with me.
• Of course I’m super-stoked to see all the old Sacred peeps. I miss them all.
• 3 days is not enough. *sigh*
• This is a BIG week for HELP. I gotta stay focused and crank some to-do’s. Prospectus, 501 c3, power-point presentation etc.
• I’m hoping in the next month-or-so to share the vision of HELP to 3 key churches. All of these churches are highly missional and influential.
• I spent some time last night working one minute presentation. If I have one-minute to share the HELP story what would I say that will peak interest and action. Love…Hope..Story & Movement. More to come.
• After church we hit up a local hiking trail in our neighborhood. Ran/Walked 2.6 miles. I needed that. Doctor called me fat last week
• Necole and I still want to adopt-a-child. Pray for us. .
• Texas still has a chance to play for the national title game, sorry Charles. Can an outsider say HOOK’EM???? Go horns.
• I rooted aginst the Raiders and for the Panther today.
• Hoping the Lakers kick the Rocket’s butt tonight.
• Necole and I are making some BIG decisions soon. Pray for us.
• Tribes by Godin is really good. Do yourself a favor and read it.
• Chandler is helping me transition from wordpress.com to.org. So excited!!!
• Love the ESV Study Bible. Even though I still have arminianism still flows deep in my blood; Although Romans 8 IS KILLING ME RIGHT NOW.
• I’ve now achieved a few milestones:
• Milestone #1: Posted 1000 times on this blog. Milestone #2: I “tweeted” 2000 times last week.
• Milestone 3:  I don’t check stats much. (4-9 times a day-JK) but I decided to have some blog goals about 6 months ago. Technorati, daily readers etc: A few weeks ago I reached my little goals. It goes to show if you put your mind to do something it can be done.

• A bunch of us got together at my casa Thurs. for a pumpkin party. fun time.
• Friday the kids had a blast and got two bags full of candy. Please people, 1 candy per kid.

• We had some peeps over last night for the Longhorn game. Sucked we lost.
• Trying to work through some major decisions. It’s causing fatigue.

• We had 12 Vista peeps go to Houston to help in Hurricane Ike Relief. Things are still pretty bad there.
• Church was really good this morning. I spoke on Gospel as adoption, salvation and transformation.
• Lot’s of great conversations afterwords. People are desperate to find a new way to live.
• Not sure I’m going to be ready to start the work-week tomorrow.
• I did not get enough time to fully prepare for this message. But I think it went pretty good.
• Ready for another vacation….NC mountains feels good right now. Anybody have a cabin.

• The weather has been great in Austin.
• Vista was good today. We changed the format and added more worship post-message, which was good.
• I’m working on some major opportunities for HELP, but that will mean some major changes.
• I will be VERY excited when the prez election is over. So tired of it all.
• Can’t believe the Red Sox epic come-back victory then game 6 win. If we win tonight-wow. Let the hatters come and whine but Red Sox nation will be rocking.
• Rays: Serious they are a good team. I have a lot of respect for them.
• Loving the Texas Longhorns. Two impressive wins. Now we get #7 & #8 ranked teams. Can we make it.
• NBA season is close.Can’t wait.
• Been working on a home office. I feel so much more productive.
• Still hate Time Warner Cable and KXAN. They both suck.
• My 6 year-old got her new glasses. Kinda sad for her. Wearing glasses is a hassle.
• Dallas Cowboys are looking pitiful. Superbowl…? How about a win!
• Bailey stayed with me in worship this morning. I can tell God touched her heart.
• Been reading a lot lately. Tribes by Godin is good.
• Looking forward to hitting the gym HARD this week.
• Love starting my first 90 min of the day in reflection and prayer. It changes everything.

• Necole no longer works Saturday. First time in two years that we’ve had a Saturday family day. 
• So we had breakfast at Austin Java’s, spent time with friends at Zilker Park and grabbed lunch at Wahoo’s. Fun times.
• Today I did not go to church but I heard it was great. Although a bit low on numbers today. 
• We may take a trip to Houston this week. Definitely going to donate some more funds and supplies. 
• Our passion for HELP is so deep we are discussing how my wife can become full time asap. 
• We’re both tired of her working so much. Just can’t balance two full-time jobs, home and kids. Something had to give.
